Grow the future training certificate
Grow the future works with young people who are looking for a hands-on, outdoor, project-based experience in an inspiring environment. Together, we will grow food for our community and regenerate the land where we work.

Grow the Future Training Certificate
Grow the Future works to create space for young people to grow. Through Growing food, and regenerating the land, we offer training, engagement and employment opportunities for 12-24 year olds in a hands-on, project based, supportive setting.
The Grow the Future Training Certificate is a collaboration between Grow the Future and Kiama Community College Ltd. This program combines Units of competency from Ecosystem Management, Business and Horticulture, as well as non-accredited Units in related fields, to provide young people with a food in the door into these sectors, as well as a soft entry point into the world of work skills and vocational training.
This 16-week program will be held at the Grow the Future Farm, 20 Auckland Street, Bega.
It will run on Wednesdays, commencing on Wednesday September 3, 2025.
This training is funded by the NSW Government for eligible participants. Call Kiama Community College on (02) 4232 1050 to determine your eligibility.
Note that all enrolments must be completed by Wednesday August 21 in order for participants to take part in the program.
Grow the Future aims to provide experiences that are accessible and engaging for all. This training is designed to be hands-on and project-based within the field. It therefore suits young people who are interested in working with plants, landscapes, or business enterprise, and who prefer to learn ‘through doing’ in a supportive, outdoor environment.
